“Reviewing the daily flight video logs turns up some weird stuff. I’m not quite sure what it was but it seems like it was hovering near the base of the clouds which were pretty high but not for sure. I boosted the contrast to get it to stand out a bit better. Wish I had been recording at the 1440 rez so I could zoom in a little better. I couldn’t hear anything on the recording either.”

“Ya … it ain’t all peaches and cream. There was a time though … when I was the life of the party and it never seemed to stop. These days I spend the vast majority of my time working long hours alone in the shop, trying to keep things running and failing to keep up with the deadlines. The fashion show clips are from around 2001 at Elysium Austin with all the hair and makeup done by the incredible people at WET salon and footwear provided by Goodie Two Shoes. So many models I can’t remember all the names but I’ll try to fill in the blanks if they so desire. The last photo of the sequence is Virginia Gardner from the March 2016 issue of Maxim shot by Roger Snider. The music is the title track from Scott Marcus’ ‘Rock Star.'”

“While working on some new invention ideas and listening to Marianne Hyatt’s music, an owl added some hoots to the mix over the security system’s audio channel so I added it to the video edit.”

“Getting bent … to the music of Them Scum Politicians live at The Beach. Starting with “I Love Mary” by Snake Finger, then our punkish version of “Happy Together” by The Turtles, followed by our original tune written by Gregg Leinweber, and finished out with “It’s My Party and I’ll Cry If I Want To” by … well, here’s what wiki says; “It’s My Party” was credited to John Gluck, Wally Gold and Herb Weiner, staff writers at the Aaron Schroeder Music firm in 1962. The lyrics were actually written by Seymour Gottlieb, a freelance songwriter. So … enjoy this flash from many pasts.”

“Are you happy now? Some flippin’ beetles … and Rudy Schwartz … so go flip yourself.”

“Making gears for the steampunk stuff. Jigsaw the inner details first, use a custom nibbler tool to cut the gear teeth, then file the relief detail on the top surface and sand of any surface scratches with some 220 grit. Later … attach gears to metal boobie covers and everybody’s happy.”

“The workload never really changes. The tools hold up but just barely. Life goes on, and on and on and on … imagine a world where you never leave you workshop and all waking hours are spent in front of the machines that only work right up until you need them the most … welcome to BrokenMidnightRobot”

“Another thing I’m loving about my new GoPro; The 120 frames per second setting. I’ve tried mounting some of my cheap tiny cameras on the rotating tools before but the fast changing lighting conditions made it a blur of flashes and impossible to tell what it actually was. Normal speed on this is still a little confusing but still in focus and light balanced in every frame. Slowed down you can actually see my hands holding the metal as I’m polishing it. Then there is the dripping water in slow mo. 120 fps may not be as fast as I need for some of the projects I have ahead but it should help get me part of the way there. OK … Back to WORK!”

“Today on channel 1 from my security cam system; A neighborhood of ant lions go about their daily rituals sped up about 64 times a set to the music of The Rudy Schwartz Project’s ‘Space Medicine Girl.'”

“Time lapse electric scooter trip into town and back to the music of Rudy Schwartz Project from the epic release They Saved Grandpa’s Gauze with the song “My Pal Foot Foot”, a tail about love lost and found….then probably chained in the basement so it will never leave again…pretty messed up but it is what it is. Oh, and the e-scooter is doing just fine since I swapped out the failing battery in the first pack of 2. I carry the extra battery pack just in case.”

“Gotta invent a better mouse trap. I promise not to post a video of the cute little mousies getting squashed but the smell in the shop is starting to get really annoying. The cat is slacking off and I’m hoping the rodents don’t attract a rattlesnake. It’s a real issue out here.”

“Another one from the old hang gliding movie archive. A few clips from the Natural High Flight School’s training movie put to the music of Scott Marcus’ “time sorta stands still” off Rock Star”

“This is mostly just a reminder to stay tuned for the coming show. I was going through the archives and ran across this video of me testing out the repair work I did on an old Echo-Plex owned by the man who made them famous. -“Roky Erickson was a founding member of The 13th Floor Elevators and a pioneer of the psychedelic rock genre”. I just copied that from the wiki site just so I could get the spelling right but maybe the good folks at wiki have not noticed he’s back and that should say “Roky Erickson IS a founding member.” Awesome comeback show in Austin last year.”
