Brooks Coleman

Brooks was born to and raised all over the southwestern US by artist/scientist parents. He spent summers on a farm in Oklahoma and the rest of the time attempting to do his homework in the back row of his Dad’s physics classes while he taught (and, later, in his vibration testing lab at NASA JSC). He found it hard to study for those stupid algebra tests while sitting next to all of that cool space shuttle hardware.

After high school, Brooks moved to Austin to teach hang gliding lessons and to play in a million bands, most notably, LiQuiD MicE and Them Scum Politicians.

Later, he helped found The Robot Group, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is the blending of art and technology in entertaining ways.

Still later, as more and more of his interests merged, his focus shifted to fashion as a creative outlet. Helped along by a singer’s desire to have a special set of outfits made for an erotic fashion-themed night, “The Metal Bra Guy” was born. He’s still kicking after more than 20 years and over 1000 metal bras made.
